As the fourth largest company of its kind in the United States, Charter Communications provides digital television, internet and telephone to over five million Americans. Based now in Missouri, Charter can trace their roots back to 1993 in Delaware. The company was first seen public in 1999 after an incredible acquisition record in that year, consuming in part or whole various companies including Marcus Cable, Brenan Communications and Vista Broadband.

Charter have removed their two entry level plans which have made their service a little more expensive overall, but their packages are still great deal. The added features more than make up for the slightly higher cost and when you bring their customer support into the equation and their wide coverage, they’re very reasonably priced.

Charter, despite a turbulent history, has managed to continue to compete at the very highest level of Internet Service Providing.
